For Matthew Andersen.

This is Matt. He's one of my best friends. Yesterday was his nineteenth birthday... Pretty exciting haha. He is pretty much really great.

Here are some things that make Matt so cool:
- He's ridiculously smart
- He gets really excited about his education... I want to be more like that.
- He can play a lot of different, random instruments and he can play them well, write songs, and sing too.
-He knows about more musicians and bands than anybody I've ever known... (It's really hard to find a band he's never heard.)
-He's really nice to pretty much everyone.
-He is now nineteen.
-He watches movies with me on his laptop at parks in the summer.
-Sometimes our conversations are just ridiculously weird but we think they're pretty entertaining.
-He used to pay for all of my bus rides when we hung out before I got my bus pass.
-He's just a really good person in general haha.
-He's definitely one of the best friends I've ever had.

So umm.. Happy Birthday Matt! You're great... and... the end. :)

Best friends.

This is my little sister Camille and she's pretty much awesome!

Here are a few of the reasons she's my best friend of all time:
-Whenever I'm sad she's right there with chocolate and a chick flick.
-She's crazy like me. :D
-She's actually very mature even though she's sixteen.
-She watches Psych with me and then later quotes the crazy lines while we pretend to be Gus and Shawn.
-We love Disney movies.
-We like to dance around the house singing with our music turned up really loud.
-She's really trustworthy.
-She loves Neil Patrick Harris
-She puts up with me when I get crazy hyper.
-We can talk about pretty much everything and we agree on a lot. And when we don't agree it doesn't turn into a debate about who is right.
-Even though I am the night owl and she goes to bed really early she still has pulled an all nighter when I never have... I am still surprised haha.
-We watch silly chick flicks like 13 Going on 30 over and over just for fun.
-She always shares her Snickers with me because she knows I love them.
-She's never annoying.
-We have study parties... yes we do homework and eat tons of sugar and listen to music.
-She reads like crazy and very fast and I am jealous.
-She's one of the most intelligent people I know.
-I want to be more like her in a lot of ways because she's really amazing.
-We laugh a lot.

So there you go. That is only a small portion of the reasons of why I love my little sister so much. :)

Cousin Power.

So when me and Camille were a lot younger we used to see our 2nd cousin, Sunnie, a lot more. She would come down and we would all sleep over at my grandparents house and drink Sunny-D in the morning and we would play with our little stuffed animals and we'd throw them in the air and then yell "Cousin power!!!" Yeah... haha we were very young. But we haven't seen her in probably six or more years so we were really excited when we found out she was coming down for this weekend. It was fun to see her, although unfortunately we were all really tired so not very fun to hang out with. We also had to get Camille ready for prom which I'm not sure Sunnie enjoyed. But I was still glad to get to hang out a bit after her not visiting for so long.

Poor Camille's face got cut out...

Camille and Stephanie went to the Maeser prom which was their first one. They both looked gorgeous and I think they had fun.. They're just growing right up! (I am sooo much older you know.) I was actually really glad to not be going to prom though... I am kind of glad to be done with high school. But it was cool that they got to go.

Camille and Sam... I think they're really cute.

Camille is beautiful and her dress was pretty.

The corsage.

Stephanie's date didn't come to our house beforehand... Sam did not take both of them haha.

So beautiful.

Mother's Day (A day late but oh well)

I love my mom. :) She is the best one ever in my opinion and I want to be like her when I grow up. She is amazing and I really admire her and I'm very very glad that she is my mom. <3

Summer Vacation So Far: Slow days and snow days.

It's May and it has been gradually warming up but we still keep getting random snow storms. I can't wait until the weather just decides to stay warm... but oh well. I am thinking maybe we are done with snow now? I hope so. You just never know these days though haha. And work is very very slow, I like it though. The people I work with are just great so I like when all of us are here but right now it's just my shift so I am bored... So since I don't have much to write about I decided to make a list of a few books I like. (Just the ones I have read more recently). If you want summaries of the books you can look them up on amazon or something but I think this would be an even longer blog post of I wrote summaries. :)

The Maze Runner is Young Adult Fiction so it's a pretty easy read... I needed that though after reading things like Anna Karenina and Faust all semester. I liked it a lot actually, except I kind of hate it when you read a book and everyone forgets to tell you that it's going to be a series so then it just ends on a cliffhanger and says "End of Book One." Oh well. But anyway, like I said, it's really easy, pretty intense and interesting but not terribly deep. I would recommend it though.

The Hunger Games is a lot like The Maze Runner, so if you like that book you'd probably enjoy this one as well. It's also really easy and fast to read but keeps your interest pretty much the whole time. Unfortunately it also turned into a series. But the second book is actually pretty good as well.

The Book Thief is probably one of my favorite books of all time. It's also Young Adult but absolutely nothing like the books I've already written about. This book is much more thought provoking and serious than the other two but it's really amazing in my opinion. I'm pretty sure you all should read this at some point in your lives.

So, I actually liked Don Quixote a lot more than I had expected. It's humorous and thought provoking at the same time. I didn't find it boring at all and it was definitely one of the best books I read this past semester.

Anna Karenina is depressing, hard to read, and ridiculously long. Still, it was probably my favorite book that I had to read for my English class. I actually haven't even finished it yet... It's very long haha. I think maybe I liked it so much because the class discussions on it were really interesting and the book itself has a lot of depth and thought provoking ideas in it if you're willing to look for them.

I actually read this book in my junior year of high school... And you know, I was in high school soooo long ago so I can't remember too much about it. I do remember I loved it. So... yeah. I should actually probably read it again.

Okay, well that's probably enough for now. But yeah... I am kind of a nerd and I like to read.

Also, no, the title of this blog wasn't supposed to be clever (which is good because it's not) it's just supposed to be truthful. Just clearing that up so you don't think I was trying to be clever and failing miserably haha.

Oh, the times they are a-changing...

Things and people have changed a lot. I kind of miss how it used to be. I went to a Walden art show yesterday and it was really amazing... those kids are all so talented. I felt kind of out of place there though because it has changed a lot more than I thought it would... Which is good I guess, in some ways anyway. It was still good to see some of my old friends again and to remember how artistic they are haha. Then today I went to a Renaissance Fair that Camille's new school was putting on as a fundraiser and I started realizing how much things have changed. My friends from Walden, Camille, the things I do, the people I hang out with, the things that matter to me, and I guess I've changed too. I don't really feel like I have though. It's kind of hard to get used to all the change... I guess it'll probably turn out to be a good thing though. :)

"Admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it,

That soon
You'll be drenched to the bone.
If your time,
To you
Is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'."
