A little change.

Sometime this year I started seeing pictures floating around Pinterest that looked like this:

 And this:

 And this:

Initially I thought: "Eww that looks so unnatural and just like they're growing out dyed blond hair" so I told myself I would never give in to the trend. Well, fast-forward a few months, and I got pretty used to it, but still wasn't interested in going Ombre myself. Until... don don don...

I saw this beautiful photo:

Isn't that just so pretty? It looks all natural and honey-golden.
So on Saturday I used my Regis Salon gift cards and my hair became Ombre.

My life has been rather... the same as it's always been, lately. So here's to a little change!

Easy, fast, amazing pizza!

I think I like to cook and bake when I'm actually doing it, but I am lazy, so if I have to choose between some delicious fancy meal and a plate of nachos, I will choose nachos. Even if I had them the day before and the day before that. Well, yesterday I felt ambitious (I guess) so I decided to try making my own pizza. I was really craving it and I am super picky about my pizza, so I thought it would be cool to just make it myself. Well, I found a recipe I had pinned on Pinterest awhile back (yay Pinterest actually came in handy!) and it looked easy so I decided to try it.

Here is the recipe I used:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup self raising flour
  • 1 cup of Greek or natural yoghurt
  • Extra flour for dusting the board

Method:

In a bowl, combine the flour and yoghurt and bring together to form a ball.
Turn out onto a floured board to knead and roll.
Knead for 5-8 minutes. Roll into a pizza shape and add toppings.

Yup. That really is all. Just yogurt and tons of flour! I ended up using a little more flour than 1 cup because the dough was rather wet and sticky. I wasn't sure it would be good because it was so easy and took about 20 minutes to throw together--including baking time. (I baked it for about 10-15 minutes at 400 degrees fahrenheit). The crust is soft and perfect and absolutely delicious. I made about four little pizzas and had several friends come over. They all thought it was great and were surprised it was only made out of two ingredients! I didn't take a picture of the full pizzas (no camera) but I did take one with my phone of my leftovers for lunch today. The picture quality is terrible but I promise you the pizza was fantastic.

My first pinterest recipe attempt was a success!
