A good day.

On Saturday me, Camille, Stephanie, and Sam went on a walk because the weather was so beautiful. I've decided I have some very great friends and I love them all. Here are pictures from our adventures. (Me and Stephanie went a little crazy with the cameras). I labeled the ones Stephanie took so the pictures she took get the proper credit. :)

...And I think of you in the colors of the world.

Lately I've been fascinated with color. I'm not really sure why... But here are some photos I found that I really like.

Here Comes the Sun. :)

Well it's finals week.
I hate testing.
I am really tired.
My head hurts.
But I am happy because it's pretty sunny and I'm getting really excited for summer and I love this song.

Radioactive Slime.

So after I got home from il Palio, (see previous post) I came home and Camille informed me that Stephanie had to go to the emergency room for appendicitis. We were really really worried of course. She stayed in the hospital that night and then had surgery the following morning.

We visited her at the hospital the next day and she was drugged up on morphine so she was slurring in her speech which was kind of funny. It wasn't funny at all to see her so helpless though, it surprised both me and Camille. We knew she was going to be very sick but I guess we just didn't expect it really... Her mom had to go home because her dad had also had surgery and she has like five or so younger brothers who needed looking after. So I stayed at the hospital over night with her.

She was sleeping pretty much the whole time. Every once and awhile she would wake up and say something funny. One time she woke up and looked at me and said "Huh?!? What?! You said what?"and I replied "I didn't say anything Stephanie...." Then she looked really confused and said "Oh... it really sounded like you said 'radioactive slime.'" Then immediately she fell asleep. I started laughing really hard and then about fifteen minutes later she woke up again and said "Whoa! Mumble mumble mumble... Spanish Fork... mumble mumble... Where did THAT come from?! mumble mumble... I.. just don't understand..." and then dropped off to sleep again. It was hilarious haha.

This morning she was a lot more coherent and we watched Anastasia (I love love love that movie) and then I went to work. She's home now, yay! Hopefully she'll start feeling better pretty soon. It was kind of scary though having one of my best friends in the hospital. I remember when Camille had appendicitis and she was only five... I guess I am the only one of us three who still has an appendix. (By the way, Stephanie is kind of like another sister to me and Camille in case you didn't know.)

Anyway, I've got to go study for finals!
Ciao!

Every time you close your eyes. Lies, lies.

The title of this post has nothing to do with what I'm going to write about but I was just listening to that song and was reminded of how much I love Arcade Fire. If you don't know what I am talking about then you should listen to this song. Anyway, it has been pretty eventful the past couple of days! I think I may need to split them up into two posts so it'll be easier to read.
So first of all, Tuesday was the last day of classes. I am so happy they are over! Now I just have finals to take and then I am done with school. Yes! It's great. Then that evening I went to BYU's first annual Il Palio. Il Palio is a horse race that is held in the "Piazza del Campo" twice a year in Siena, Italy. It is really famous and a big deal to the people there and it has been going on for hundreds of years. Each district or Contrada in Siena is represented by a certain animal. So this year BYU's Italian program decided to begin a new tradition of recreating il Palio right in the JFSB courtyard. I wasn't expecting it to be that great but I ended up having a lot of fun. We ate tons of delicious food and then listened to Vocal Point which was also better than I expected. The race was at the very end and only lasted for five minutes or so but was still fun. We had like three students from each class be runners and the rest of us cheered them on. Each class was represented by the animals that were the same as the actual Contrade. My class was Istrice which is the porcupine haha.  I thought it was a good way to end the semester and it made me realize just how much I love the Italian program at BYU even though it's not even my major. It's definitely been my favorite part of going there and I know it'll probably be the only thing I'll miss over the summer. But anyway, here are some photos:
This is part of the JFSB courtyard. I like it. :)

This is the best picture I could find of the pattern on the ground. It's based off of a real Piazza in Rome, Italy.

Oh yeah, each class received a flag that the real Contrade have. This one isn't ours but it was the closest one to me... Oh and these were taken on my phone so they're bad quality.

Okay, our flag is the second one from the left. Yes, the one you really can't see.

The people behind the bushes are the runners.

Vocal point. (Me and some others from my class got to sit in the very front).

They performed The Thriller and it was hilarious.

We were waiting for the race to start.

The water fountain was pretty...

Weekend Adventures

On Friday we had our Passover, which is something my family does every year even though we're not Jewish. We always invite different people over for it and it's always a lot of fun. This year we invited my friend, Jamie, and her family and also one of Jamie Lyn's (my older sister) friends. I was really glad we invited them because it was great. I hope they enjoyed it too. We got pretty hyper towards the end there which was kind of funny because we were laughing about some very ridiculous things... Jamie is hilarious and I am excited because she and I are going to be roommates at BYU next year and I think we'll probably laugh a lot. :)

Then on Saturday, Camille had invited her friend Sam over and so we got Stephanie and all walked down to mainstreet in Spanish Fork. Which is a pretty happening place... (Lies.) And we got yelled at by a bookstore lady and the only reason I can think of is because we were teenagers and so she immediately hated us.. Oh well... It was still a lot of fun. We sat at the park for a little bit, but I think just the walking and talking with friends was the best part. I had a really good talk with Stephanie (we couldn't really hear Camille and Sam) and it was just really nice. I did eventually get to talk to Sam a bit later in the day when we were back at home and it was nice to kind of get to know him better since I don't really know a lot of Camille's friends anymore but I hear a ton about them haha. Then me and Stephanie just went kind insane after Sam had left and Camille was out babysitting. It was really fun haha. Here are some pictures of our adventures:
These were cherry blossoms we saw while on our walk. You can't see them so well... But you can see how pretty the sky was.

Here is me and Stephanie being crazy. Stephanie's eye looks insane in this picture in my opinion....

Sam and Camille walking down mainstreet in Spanish Fork.

At the park....

Me and Stephanie being crazy again...

Camille is kind of afraid of the camera. But she is holding a handout for the Renaissance Faire which you should all go to because it's probably going to be really fun.

Anyway, that's all for now. I hope you had a great weekend as well. (Or Spring Break for those of you who are lucky like that. I am still jealous.)

Family...

...I really like mine.
They're pretty much amazing and some of the very best people I know. :)
